This blog is my attempt to open those doors.

I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at IILM University, Greater Noida, India. My research began with machine learning for medical imaging, and I am now expanding into computer networks and connected intelligent systems. I am also still learning. That is the point of this space.

What you can expect here

Plain-language explanations of ideas from my research and papers

Notes from the classroom: what works when teaching programming, operating systems and AI

What I am learning as I move into networks and IoT

Reflections from conferences, hackathons and faculty development programmes

Short reading lists for students

Why write at all?

Because explaining something simply is the best test of whether I understand it. And because students, collaborators and colleagues from other fields often ask good questions that I can only answer properly in writing.

If something here sparks a thought, or you would like to work together, write to me at aanchal.vij@iilm.edu. I would love to hear from you.
