Why I started this blog
For a long time, my work has lived in places where only a few people ever look: journal pages, conference proceedings and classroom notes. This blog is my attempt to open those doors.
I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at IILM University, Greater Noida, India. My research began with machine learning for medical imaging, and I am now expanding into computer networks and connected intelligent systems. I am also still learning. That is the point of this space.
What you can expect here
- Plain-language explanations of ideas from my research and papers
- Notes from the classroom: what works when teaching programming, operating systems and AI
- What I am learning as I move into networks and IoT
- Reflections from conferences, hackathons and faculty development programmes
- Short reading lists for students
Why write at all?
Because explaining something simply is the best test of whether I understand it. And because students, collaborators and colleagues from other fields often ask good questions that I can only answer properly in writing.
If something here sparks a thought, or you would like to work together, write to me at aanchal.vij@iilm.edu. I would love to hear from you.
